Become a Member of The Arc of
Dallas
By becoming a member, you can help The Arc of Dallas provide
much-needed programs & services (like Arc L.I.F.E.), keep the costs
of Arc events and activities affordable for everyone & make the
public aware of the needs, rights & abilities of people with
disabilities.
Also, a
membership with The
Arc of Dallas allows YOU to participate in local, state & national
chapters of The Arc, have a voice in local, state & national policy
forums & be eligible for discounts to selected Arc events,
activities & special trainings.

Household Goods Recycling
You
may donate your unwanted household goods (gently used clothing and
furniture) through our household recycling program. Contact
The Arc of Texas at metro (817) 588-2000 to arrange for a pick-up, then
simply leave your donation in a specified location for pick-up.
The Arc will receive a per/pound rate for the goods
donated and then they will be sold through Thrift Town Stores. You
can also shop Thrift Town's Dallas store located at 1516 South
Westmoreland. Watch for the Arc trucks in your area!
Gifts to the United Way
One way
of giving financial assistance to The Arc of Dallas is by making a
contribution to the United Way. The Arc of Dallas has been a United Way
agency since 1968. Your contribution to the United Way helps makes our
service programs possible.
Memorials and Honorariums
Donations
can be made to The Arc of Dallas in memory or honor of a friend, family
member, or co-worker by sending a check or telephoning The Arc office
214-634-9810 with your credit card information and donation amount, or click on the "Make Donation" button below. Upon
receipt of your gift, a card is sent to the family of the person
honored, listing the name or names of the donor. The amount of the gift
is never indicated. Your contribution will be acknowledged and
is tax deductible.
Program Support
Contributions
can be made to The Arc of Dallas to directly support a program or
service that The Arc provides to the community. Examples of these
programs are: continuing education classes, leisure and leadership
activities (quarterly dances), individual advocacy, minority outreach

In-Kind Support
Contributions can be made to The Arc of Dallas through in-kind support.
In-kind donations include: office equipment, office supplies and
furniture, services (graphic design, printing, consulting,
program supplies), and other non-cash contributions.
Company Matching
Ask
your company if it has a matching gift program. Give this information
to The Arc when making your contribution. (This is the easiest way to
double your contribution)
Kroger & Tom Thumb
Kroger
and Tom Thumb will give a percentage of your purchases to The Arc of
Dallas. At Tom Thumb, use your Reward Card. The Arc of Dallas' Reward
Card number is 690. Kroger Shares cards may be obtained by
calling The Arc of Dallas at (214) 634-9810.To get more information
on how you can help The Arc of Dallas, call 214/634-9810 and ask for
the Development Director. You can also (E-mail the Development
Director).
Other Gifts
Making gifts of real estate (land, homes, or buildings),
securities (stocks, bonds), trusts, and bequests can offer tax
advantages such as, tax deductions and avoidance of capital gains
taxes. The Arc has professional advisors available to answer your
questions.
