Twelve Steps to Success

When a family discovers their loved one has a disability, knowledge demystifies the journey. This education series helps families map out their road to success.
Twelve Steps to Success provides information and insights on twelve essential topics that empower families. Topics range from early childhood interests, to school-aged issues, to life as an adult. Professionals provide relevant up-to-date information.
Solutions, Services and Sanity
You have no need to feel like an island, or to live in a quandary. You are not alone. You will discover a listening ear, and multiple venues that will help you on your journey.
The North, South and East “Live the Dream” EXPOs provide regional venues that connect families to community service providers. In addition, forums and consultations are available on a variety of topics that help families answer questions and solve problems.
Guardianship Services
As a certified, registered guardian, The Arc provides both private pay and court-referred guardianship on a case-by-case basis for adults over age 19. For guardians who need help, status check services are available to monitor adequate care and provide peace of mind.
The Arc has been a legal, registered guardian since 2005 and currently maintains guardianship over a twenty-five individuals. Guardianship visits help families keep tabs on their loved one when no one is unavailable to provide in-person oversight. Our philosophy is quality of life in the least-restrictive environment with person-centered goals.
